The Cincinnati Paralegal Association would like to invite you to attend our March General Membership Meeting (CLE Series), which has been scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 12:00 pm EST via Zoom.  We are super excited to announce that our speaker for March will be fellow paralegal, Jill Francisco, and she will be providing an Ethics Refresher for Paralegals. I can guarantee that you won't want to miss this meeting with Jill as she is a fantastic paralegal to know!

Ethics and professionalism are essential to becoming a successful paralegal.  This 1 hour seminar will provide ethics tips for paralegals, discuss how paralegals can assist attorneys in the area of client communication and what paralegals can do every day to maintain the highest level of professionalism. 

What you’ll learn:

  • Review of ethical responsibilities when performing delegated work;
  • Paralegal professional responsibility;
  • Paralegal professional relationships; and
  • The attorney code of ethics and discipline

 

SPEAKER BIO


Jill Francisco, Advanced Certified Paralegal, is employed as a Senior Paralegal with Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP, in their Huntington, WV office.  She previously worked as a paralegal at Huddleston Bolen LLP, prior to their merger with Dinsmore & Shohl.  She graduated with a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies from Marshall University.  She hold Advanced Paralegal Certifications in eDiscovery and Trial Practice.  She has been working as a paralegal since 1997.

Jill is very active in local and national professional associations within her profession.  She was Charter President of the Legal Assistants/Paralegals of Southern West Virginia and is currently serving as their President.  She began her NALA service as a member of the NALA Professional Development Committee; and over the years has served as NALA Affiliated Associations Secretary and Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Second Vice President, Vice President and was the President of NALA from 2018-2020.  

Jill serves on the paralegal program advisory board for Mount West Community & Technical College in Huntington, WV, and is also an adjunct professor in their Paralegal Studies Program.  She has served on the ABA Approval Commission from 2021-2023.  She is also host of The Paralegal Voice podcast on the Legal Talk Network.  She resides in Kenova, West Virginia with her husband, Shawn and their son, John David.
