February General Membership Meeting

About this event

The Cincinnati Paralegal Association would like to invite you to remotely attend our February General Membership Meeting (CLE Series), which has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 12:00 pm EST via Zoom.  We are extremely excited to announce that our speaker for February will be Dr. Roger Hall and he will be presenting his CLE on Staying Happy, Being Productive.  A general overview of the meeting is below:

Staying Happy, Being Productive

Due to the high-stakes nature of the legal profession, attorneys and paralegals are prone to stress, stress-related illnesses, and higher levels of job and life dissatisfaction – all of which affect our ability to serve our clients. Join us for this in-depth look at the particular vulnerabilities facing paralegals, how stress can impact the brain and body, how to defend against the sources of stress in your life, and the ten disciplines that happy and productive people use to regulate their lives and minds.

Speaker: Dr. Roger Hall

Dr. Roger Hall is the author of DIY Brain, Staying Happy Being Productive: and Expedition.  He is a Business Psychologist with one trick: He trains leaders to monitor and manage their thinking. Great leaders work on themselves first, and then success in their companies follows.

He has had the chance to consult and speak to all sorts of groups -- from judges in federal courts, people in the intelligence community, company owners, executives, and university faculty, to social workers, teachers, and nurses, to construction workers, landscapers, and box-makers. He loves his work as a keynote speaker for financial services companies and with legal firms who work with closely held businesses.

Dr. Hall is a 1991 graduate of Ohio State University’s Counseling Psychology program. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Utah. He then accepted a position to be a staff psychologist at Ball State University, where he served until 1993. For nearly six years, he was the staff psychologist at a large church in Dublin, Ohio. In 1993 he founded Compass Consultation, Ltd., where he works with entrepreneurs, professionals and business owners to improve their lives and work performance.

Dr. Hall has been a highly sought after speaker with legal organizations, court systems, and judges throughout the US. He has spoken to judges and justices at the state and federal levels in the US and at the national level in Canada.  He has worked with the NCJFCJ, NACM, and judges in Ohio, New York, Michigan, New Jersey, California, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Virginia, and Illinois.  He has worked with law firms in Ohio, Indiana, Arizona, Idaho, and Michigan. He has worked with the Illinois Bar Association, the State Bar Association North Dakota, and the Ohio State Bar Association for over 20 years and with the Ohio Judicial College for over a decade.

This program is pending 1.0 CLE credit from the OSBA.
