Kathy Grote receives award for Taft
This year the Cincinnati Paralegal Association “CPA” is presenting a special award called the “Plus Ultra” award to a supporter that has gone above and beyond in its support of the CPA. Plus Ultra in Latin means "Farther Beyond" and the Board unanimously agreed that this supporter deserved this special recognition for their support.
The Board of Directors began the 2012/2013 year looking for ways to keep the costs down for general membership meetings and for the CLE seminars for our members. This could not have been accomplished without the help and support of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. Through their generosity the CPA was able to hold its monthly general membership meetings at the Taft Center as well as the CLE seminars.
For those of you who were not at the April CLE Seminar, we had the entire Taft Center that morning with the vendors set up in the back living room area. Taft assigned two ladies to set up the Taft Center for the Seminar. They continually stocked the beverage cart and even put out the breakfast items the CPA brought in. They supplied the plates, napkins and beverages for the seminar at no cost to the CPA. They also had an IT person assigned to the seminar for the day. He took care of our speaker’s needs.
They had someone there to greet us and even to take our coats the morning of the seminar. I was truly amazed at how they took care of the CPA. We get this kind of treatment at a hotel that we are paying for but this was at no cost to us. Because of their generosity, we were able to keep the cost down for our members. The second seminar in 2013 is already scheduled to be at the Taft Center in October.
The Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Paralegal Association was pleased to present Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP with the first ever "Plus Ultra" Award. Thank you Kathy Grote and Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP for going Farther Beyond with your support of The Cincinnati Paralegal Association.
